MUSIC MEME OK i'm drunk lets do this

Step 1: Put your music player on shuffle.
Step 2: Post the first line (or first and second line if it's completely impossible) from the first 15 (I got carried away and did 20, whatever) songs that play, no matter how embarrassing.
Step 3: Strike out the song when someone guesses both artist and track correctly.
Step 4: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!
Step 5: If you like the game, post your own.

1. cover the mirror, hide in your dreams 'Bury My Lovely', October Project
2. woke up this morning, it seemed to me that every night turns out to be
3. it is complete now, two ends of time are neatly tied
4. i've watched the children come and go
5. looking down on empty streets, all she can see 'Mercy Street', Peter Gabriel
6. gather the horses, boys, summon the men
7. i am just a poor boy though my story's seldom told 'The Boxer', Simon and Garfunkle
8. i tried to come down from you
9. you know you've done enough when every bone is sore
10. daydream, i fell asleep beneath the flowers
11. yeah all those stars drip down like butter
12. daddy's flown across the ocean 'Another Brick in the Wall Pt 1', Pink Floyd
13. the king of the swinging moods is back in town
14. she is trapped inside a month of grey 'Mercury', Counting Crows
15. it's cold outside, and the paint's peeling off my walls 'Are Friends Electric?', Gary Numan or Information Society
16. i have never had a way with women, but the hills of iowa make me wish that i could
17. i had a dream late last night - the water was running low
18. i know i should be happy in your land
19. i got my head but my head is unravelling 'The Perfect Drug', Nine Inch Nails
20. girl of sixteen, whole life ahead of her 'Blasphemous Rumours', Depeche Mode

Ganked from steals_thyme, with 'share mp3' changed back to strikeout cause i don't do the filesharing thing. I know i know, SQUARE, sorry.

Techhhhnically my version of 15 is the Information Society version, but I know Gary Numan did it first, so that counts :D

And you getting the other two does not of course surprise me at all <3

7 - "The Boxer" by Simon & Garfunkel (or just Paul Simon, I mix up their pre and post split music all the time).

I think it was pre-split, but I could be wrong!

#5 - Mercy Street by Peter Gabriel
#12 - Oh, cripes, it's one of the iterations of "Another Brick In The Wall" by Pink Floyd, I think? Dx

He did Mercy Street during the orchestral show in June, oh my god weds, it was so amazing. The whole show was, with a big lightning storm going on in the background.

And yes, first iteration. Close enough. :D

I saw it at Red Rocks, and it was the single best show I have ever been to, period. And i've seen a lot of great shows there. At one point he was playing... Red Rain? Here Comes the Flood? And the looming stormclouds just opened up and soaked all of us, it was hilarious and awesome at the same time, in the true sense of the word 'awesome'. It was an Experience.

Anyway! Yes, Mercury, one of my favorites of theirs. :)

It really is amazing, and yeah, I think part of that is being there in the middle of it, the sort of sweep and scale of it and being able to look up and see the stars or look out over the stage and see the city glittering in the dark... the fresh outdoor air, the breeze, the rain sometimes! It's something you have to be there for to really appreciate, and it's worth making a trip for, if someone you really like is playing there.

I've seen REM twice there - In Time tour and Accelerate tour. (I saw the Around the Sun tour too but that was a small theaters tour.) Also saw Daft Punk a few years ago, and Infected Mushroom last summer. No matter what kind of music it is, its a great venue, but I knew that orchestral Peter Gabriel at red rocks would basically be a once in a lifetime thing XD
